PH: In fact there are almost 20 real
Airbus pilots and a handful of Turbo
Commander pilots, from whom I know
they are practicing with my models,
although there is still so much missing.
Honestly, I wish my actual models could
offer a bit more to justify the term
"procedure simulator". Presently only
some few, basic procedures can be
trained. More are to come. In particular
auto-flight cannot be pract iced
realistically without a perfect MCDU
(FMS) designed for a particular aircraft.
And development of an MCDU takes
several man-years. THIS is a matter of
much higher priority to me than a VC. -

A big surprise for me was to learn about
WHAT some of those Airbus pilots are
practicing with my models: Flying
manually! - Yes, you've read correctly. - I
was told that due to extensive AP use
there is insufficient opportunity to
practice manual control, and that my
Airbus models in XP handle so
realistically, that they are in use to fill this
gap

And here is something interesting.
I've read a notice last year, where the
USAF is warning their pilots not to
practice with Microsoft (sims), so as not
to get used to unrealistic flight
characteristics. This might lead to fatal
errors in real flying.

Buenos días Luis...  ;D ;D ;D

Una apreciación: en el paquete del Airbus A380 que anuncias (anunciamos  ;D) viene tanto la versión de motores TRENT900 como la GP7200 generando un pack de unos 167MB. Parece que por capacidad del ORG es mas conveniente paquetes de archivos de <100MB. Creo que ha diferenciado según motor en aras de no tener un archivo "enorme" para el servidor del ORG.

O es eso o ha creado una nueva actualización de TRENT900 y no me he dado cuenta... ::)

Parece que son 2 versiones con distintos motores :o, la 1ª GP7200 del 13/07/10 también la han actualizado el 15/07/10 :D y la versión Trent 900 ;)

Parece que será el 1º de los nominados en el ORG de Julio y Agosto.

Este avión lo descargué hace unas semanas y no me gustó. De hecho lo borré. No se qué opinais vosotros de él.

Respecto al video, queda muy claro que el avion tiene una gran estetica externa, pero no me gusto mucho el efecto de desenfoque, llego un momento que incluso molestaba  :P

Me guto mucho de todos modos el avion, y me entrevere con los link´s,
voy a bajar y comento

Simulation time is limited to 30 minutes, of which 12 minutes are flight time, and 18 min. are to explore the panel and enter flight data, before take off. The aircraft needs to be LOADED again, to get another trial run. Just setting it to another location, would not help.

XP10 plugin patch para el A380 de Peter :)

It fixes the engine start problem, view angle selection and some FBW issues. It is also recommendable for XP9. But you need to read the instructions before installation.
