Al final me dí cuenta de los 2 puntos, pero sigue sin salir. Estaba viendo otro post donde indicabais algo, pero no sale el video, sale como está ahora. Lo del code supongo que es pulsar el símbolo de la parrilla y meter el enlace dentro, ¿no?

El sonido de fondo es el aire, ¿se oye así en la realidad?.

En la realidad se oye más aún el aire...

Pues cuando desciendas fuerte tiene que aco____r un poco ¿no?.

Si te gustan los veleros, una ruta bonita es partiendo de Megeve llegar a Chamonix, conseguir ascender hasta Les Aguilles du Midi y si hay suerte, superar el Mont Blanc, tienes el escenario de Les aguilles du Midi , si te interesa y no lo localizas, te lo puedo "servir"

Otra ruta es LECD LECI para pasar el rato, son dos paraisos para los veleros

Y bueno, el sonido del aire se oye, pero en la cabina podíamos mantener una conversación en tono normal, con lo que tampoco es tanto. También es verdad que íbamos con los ventanitas pequeñas abiertas porque era verano para que entrase algo de fresca, por lo que supongo que se oía más.
Además la velocidad no era como la del video, que ahí igual voy un poco rápidillo, sobre todo al picar para la pasada por la pista.
Miraré esa ruta, tiene buena pinta...
La verdad que me gustan mucho los veleros, y con lo bien que se ve el xplane mola. El problema es que creo que el vuelo en ladera/wave no está simulado ¿no? Porque de momento tengo que ponerle bastantes térmicas para hacer un vuelo medianamente largo.

Pues si te gustan los veleros Xplane está bien pero el \"Condor\" ( http://www.condorsoaring.com/ ) es un programa específico para ellos. Siento hacer publicidad de otro programita de vuelo pero...  ^-^

Yo he volado en velero sin térmicas aprovechando viento de ladera...

Eso sí, las térmicas son aleatorias; el Condor sí simula mejor éstas (aunque es más feo  ;D)

X-Plane plugin to generate more realistic thermals

The current Xplane (Ver 10.30+) thermal model is quite simplistic.
This is an attempt to create a pluggin that simulates thermal of better realism

Basic concept:
Create a fixed or random list of thermals with lat,lon,thermal diameter, thermal strength
While fliying, detect collision between the aircraft and the thermals, apply the lift to the aircraft.




Advanced concepts already implemented:

- Regular Thermals (not dynamic lift) tend to have a strong core of lift followed by outward softer layers of lift.



- Thermals drift with the wind as they gain altitude.

- Thermals rise till they reach cloudbase or the top of the lift.

At this point they dwindle off.

- When a wing of a plane hits a thermal and the other wing does not, the plane tends to roll against the lift.




- When the wing of the plane is on a roll, the thermal roll factor is reduced (less arm momentum)



- Thermals gain and loose strength along with the height of the sun in the sky (accounting for seasons)




A random thermal generator menu allows the user to select quantity of thermals, size and strength.
 
The thermal placement is random, but smart enough not to set thermals above water surfaces.



A thermal visualization aid (shows markers where the thermals are) exists with an option to turn it on/off on the plugin menu

Todo:


- Thermals have cycles, begin, middle, end and they tend to keep a basic timming.


- Thermal streets
- Clouds at the top of the thermal (* this is a big one, but I dont know how to do it yet)


- Read Thremals from a user given CSV file

Installation


This is a Python plugin, so the python interface is required. ( http://www.xpluginsdk.org/python_interface.htm )


As a helper, I am using Easy Dataref access class from Joan Perez i Cauhe, and I am including the class on the sources.


Other than that, all is needed is PI_ThermalSym, thermal_model.py and world.py anything else is test stuff or helpers.

 

V 0.3 has a nice menu to define thermal parameters, better thermal simulation, better performance and reduced memory space.





Older versions

V 0.2 (current) Is already quite usable. It has a matrix of 10000x10000 ~70nm^2 , implements all the concepts listed above. At this point there are several variables (wind, thermal tops, thermal generation) that are hardcoded and require changes of code if you wish to modify.

V 0.1 it works based on a 10x10 matrix that repeats itself. it works, but is just a sucky proof of concept.

I have about 20 years experience flying thermals on Gliders, Paragliders and Ultralight aircrafts. I've owned and flown (sp?) many diferent gliders from a very slow 1-26 to ASK-21.

 I've flown extensively on the Texas plains and on the mountains of Peru, so I feel I've got a good idea of how a thermal should feel when you fly a glider on Xplane. I hope that this plugin helps improve the glider flying experience on X-plane for all.

Veo varios archivos .py. Supongo que son todos ellos...

Si, probado y funciona, pero hay dias que prefiero no usarlo y otros si, pasa como en la política, que unos dias te hacen reir y otros te hacen gracia  ;)

Además hay una opción en la que si la seleccionas salen globos para señalizar (antes era señalar) las termicas, es como iniciar o inicializar, cosas del guindous

Gracias por los videos, dado que la música está alta, no se oye muy bien el sonido del aire, pero te puedes hacer una idea.
El simulador \"Condor\" no sé yo si te podrás orientar muy bien.
